WHAT TO CARRY:

Riders & Runners are encouraged to take sufficient energy bars/food for your estimated time in the saddle.

Please bring at least two full water bottles with your drink of choice and preferably a full “Camelback” if you have one. Riders should be able to fix a puncture and may want to carry their cell phones. If you are allergic to any medication etc. – please indicate this on your person when riding.

There will be four water points on the 63km route.  Please bring antihistamines and the necessary medication if you are allergic to bees or sensitive to pollen as the race takes place in the midst of spring.

No E-go... Indeed.

After some deliberation a final call was made NOT to allow E-bikes at the Piket-Bo-Berg Cycle Challenge. The reasons are simple - due to the technical nature of the trails and the large amount of singletrack (which run through very remote mountainous areas) we would like to avoid congestion as far as possible - our trails don't always allow for passing. Taking into account the speeds of E-bikes, rider safety is another big concern on our technical sections. We trust you understand. However, do stay tuned to our social channels and join our mailing list to be notified of possible future e-bike events.
